Project Affect — research status

The project overview governs the current definition. Synthetic affective mechanisms regulating attention, salience, valuation, memory, motivation, risk perception, and action selection are the target.

Recorded work is conceptual integration only. The precise construct, first target, measures, manipulable mechanism, alternatives, task, dataset, architecture, protocol, and execution priority remain unresolved. No Affect experiment is registered or underway; no result is reported.

Next step is a falsifiable design proposal under Hermes Method, informed by prior art. Emotional dialogue and emotion classification do not alone establish regulation. Distinguish function, implementation, biological correspondence, and subjective experience.

Historical statements retain their original scope and dates. A source discussion or internal decision does not establish an empirical result. Unselected or restricted records remain unavailable in this export.
